A joy to work within

SHAPE Australia is a leading commercial fit-out specialist, so it is no surprise that they have a beautiful and functional workspace of their own. SHAPE has been bringing spaces to life for over 30 years and has become one of the most successful stories in Australian property.

Their office space includes an expansive open-plan cafeteria with a calming colour palette. Eye-catching blue is chosen for the kitchen cabinetry and upholstery which is balanced well with speckled terrazzo bench tops, neutral flooring and warm timber accents, as seen in the seating and the impressive ceiling above.


Stunning Timber Click-on Batten Ceiling

The ceiling design is highly textural thanks to the many layers of timber that overlap. As mentioned, a custom design solution was devised to achieve this extensive design by Siren.

To achieve the look, we used a ceiling mounting track that was attached to aluminium support rails engineered to carry the high weight of the design. Attached to the tracks are Click-on Battens (40x40mm) or timber dowels, as the pattern alternates. The Click-on Battens then have timber dowels going through them and are finished off with one last piece of timber batten at the end of the line to achieve a clear finish.
