The redevelopment of the Innovation and Design Hub at Swinburne brings the cultural significance of the existing structure into the present day. H2o Architects used Sculptform Click-on Battens to provide beautiful linear textures in both timber and aluminium.

Our aluminium battens are available in a variety of finishes including anodising, wood finish options and powder coat. For brighter colours such as the red used on this project, powder coat achieves the design intent while still remaining cost-effective. Banjo Pine Battens
A beautiful interior timber due to its pale colouring and unique grain, Banjo Pine provides the natural beauty of timber while remaining extremely lightweight.
On this project, a variety of whitewash finishes were used, to preserve the variation in the colouring of the timber and natural warmth it gives a space.
