The Mercy Building at ACU's Banyo campus in Queensland showcases how thoughtful timber design can elevate educational spaces. Designed by Thomson Adsett Brisbane and delivered by Buildcorp, the project reached completion in 2018.

Design Vision & Execution

Feature walls and ceilings were adorned with timber battens, selected for the rich, warm tones. The use of these battens created a visually compelling and cohesive aesthetic throughout the building.

Of particular note are the numerous curved timber walls, a key element that brings fluidity and modernity to the interiors. These gentle curves add both a dynamic visual dimension and a sophisticated architectural detail to the space
