New future-focused buildings at Cranbrook’s Bellevue Hill senior campus are designed to embody the school’s holistic ethos, make the most of its remarkable topographical setting, and help prepare Cranbrook for the century ahead.
A significant aspect of the redevelopement is the chapel, with the interior completely covered in Sculptform blackbutt Click-on Battens; a gorgeous sight to see!

Blackbutt Click-on Batten Ceiling
Click-on Battens crafted from blackbutt timber, a beautiful Australian species, line the walls and ceilings. On the ceiling, the battens are paired with beams to create an abstract grid pattern across the room. Creating interest and breaking up all of the timber elements.
Linear lines are achieved across the walls of the chapel with Click-on Battens, looking spectacular while also providing acoustic benefits within the space. Acoustic backing was installed behind all the battens in the room, helping to improve the acoustic rating of the chapel.

Spotted Gum Timber Soffits
Outside of the chapel, the exteriors soffits are covered with lines of spotted gum timber, another Australian favourite renowned for durability and warm tones.
With a block profile in a 42x42mm size, the battens are coated in a clear oil which protects against the elements. Much needed with the location by the coast in Sydney.
