A standout element of the hotel’s design is the stunning feature wall in the lobby. A twist on our existing batten profiles, this project showcases our unique ability to collaborate with architects and create tailored products to suit the design intent. The inverted flute profile wall is a striking work of art.

Cultural and Environmental Integration

Honouring the Tainui Iwi’s historical journey, the design concept “sea to sky” is evident throughout Te Arikinui. This theme is reflected in the materials and forms used, including our Click-on Battens which add a natural textured element to the interiors. The linearity of the placement of the battens in addition to the curved form adds another form of texture, accentuating the grandeur of the space.

These battens not only contribute to the aesthetic appeal but also enhance the acoustic properties of the spaces, ensuring a warm, inviting and peaceful atmosphere for guests as they check-in or relax in the lobby area.
