Designed and built by Scentre Group, the new development at Westfield Newmarket in Auckland New Zealand, uses our Click-on Battens and Wood Finish Aluminium to create a dimensionally stunning, low maintenance feature.

Completed in 2019, this $750 million redevelopment has set a new benchmark as a world-class retail and lifestyle destination for New Zealanders. Our Click-on Battens surround the Level 3 skylight bringing a sense of class and style with the variation in scale, size and angle of the aluminium battens.

Our range of aluminium Click-on battens offers a variety of finishes to meet any requirements. For designers who want to use timber but are restricted to weight, fire compliance or maintenance issues, our Wood Finish Aluminium is the perfect timber look solution.

Highly resistant to fade, even in exterior applications, our Wood Finish Aluminium requires very little maintenance to preserve its genuine timber aesthetic, making it a perfect solution for the large scale areas of Westfield Newmarket.

Feature angular battens

To create the dynamic look of the batten sequences along the walls, we worked closely with Scentre Group to design and develop a fixing solution to angle the battens. The flexibility of the Click-on Batten system made this a simple process, utilising our direct fix clip and the addition of a wooden chock, ensured installation was still a quick and easy process.
