Timber-Framed Museum Welcome
Australian National Maritime Museum

The definition of maritime is, “connected with the sea, especially in relation to seaborne trade or naval matters” and the Australian National Maritime Museum’s new gift shop embodies this very well.
The museum recently made a change to their foyer by incorporating a new Museum Giftshop, where we gladly supplied our timber Click-on Battens to frame the front entrance.

Merging Battens and Screens
This design incorporated the merging of our Click-on Screens with our Free-standing Screens.
As you can see the sides of the entrance have a substrate behind them and Click-on Battens have been applied, then where the entrance starts to open up, Free-standing Screens were installed to ensure that visitors can see through the timber battens into the store beyond.
To achieve the blend of battens and screens, the screens were installed by direct fix with no track with the inclusion of a mid rail support.

A long-awaited change as part of the museum rebranding, the intention behind a redesigned store was to create a space that is an essential destination during a visit to the museum - and one which seamlessly blends within the museum foyer space.
